Description	Pattern: Lover's Knot and also contains the "Table" pattern . Type: Overshot Weave Structure: Overshot weave. Two panels . Warp: One-ply, tight twist, linen that is off-white in color (due to age) . Weft: One-ply, loose twist, wool that is red and blue in color . Border: Pattern is continued. One side is edged with the "Table" pattern and the other side ends with the "Lover's Knot." Edge: Self-edging (Selvedges) . Seam: Seam is off center and very visible . Condition: The coverlet is intact and has been well used. Coverlet is frayed in some areas.

Note	One half of this coverlet was collected by James Watt Raine of Berea College prior to 1909. Raine's daughter used it on her bed when she was a child. The other half of this coverlet was given by a donor of the Home Economics Department at LSU. The whole coverlet was originally 64" x 49."
