| Description | An article from the "Mountain Herald" about the Smith-Hughes Department of Lincoln Memorial University, to promote agricultural extension services "to the remote districts of the mountains, to rural schools, to small communities and to individuals who are interested and need help." A benefactor donated a new "attractive Ford one-ton truck" that was outfitted with charts that "can be shown to small groups 26 on the roadside 26 or they may be taken out and carried into the country school to show to the children there." In addition the car is equipped with "projection apparatus, a fine stereopticon lantern and screen 26 a portable electric light outfit 26 that makes current to run the fine motion picture machine." The "boat" carries various veterinary supplies and vaccinations.
