Darling Black Mustache
Oh, once I had a charming beau,
And I loved him dear as life.
I oft times hoped the time would come
When I could be his wife;
His pockets they were filled with gold
And oh, he's lots of cash,
With a diamond ring and a watch and chain
And a darling black mustache.
Oh, little black mustache, oh, little black mustache,
So now you know I had a beau
With a darling black mustache.
He oft times came on Saturday night
And stayed till almost three.
He said he never loved a girl
So well as ho loved me.
There came along an old, old maid.
She was worth her weight in gold.
She wore false teeth and she wore false hair;
She was forty- five years old.
Oh, little black mustache, oh, little black mustache,
So now you know I had a beau
With a darling black mustache.
So coldly he deserted me
Just for that old maid's cash cash
And then he pressed upon her lips
That darling black mustache.
Oh, little black mustache, oh little black mustache
So now you know I had a beau
With a darling black mustache.
Now, all young girls with tender hearts,
Don’t never be so rash
